Video Games Day
“Life is a video game. No matter how good you get, you are always zapped in the end."
October 18th, 1958 marks the debut of what is considered by many to be the first video games, "Tennis for Two" which simulated a game of tennis, using a Donner Model 30 analog computer and an oscilloscope for a display. American physicist William Higinbotham designed the game for display at the Brookhaven National Laboratory's annual public exhibition. This game was resurrected in 1972 by Atari as "Pong."
This tartan was created to honour the fourth anniversary of the founding of Clan Sverker, a gaming community that has long interwoven Celtic and Scandinavian history into the organisation.

Clan Sverker is an MMO community that is accepting new members. According to their website:
"We're a community of bearded, beer drinking, laid back gamers who stick to the older ways of doing things ... and offer our members a laid back, mature and stable atmosphere to play in."

Through dedication and hard work, (pending position openings) a member of Clan Sverker can work their way up to higher, more leadership focused roles within the clan, which includes the following: Initiate, Member, Longbear, Hirthmathr, Lawspeaker, and Mormaer.
