#vintagetartan In 1870, "Mr Mitchell, Publisher to the Queen" produced two large leatherbound volumes of magnificient watercolour portraits of the Queen's household by Kenneth Macleay RSA, including this one of Duncan MacGregor shown wearing the Rob Roy tartan, showing a badger sporran and an unusual design of bonnet with a single row of red dice on the brim (1868).
