Independence Day

"Oh say can you see ... by the dawn's early light ..."

The United States (Personal) tartan is different in warp and weft. Produced to celebrate American tourism in Scotland, 1990, the colours are taken from the flags of the two nations and the Atlantic Ocean that separates them.

Known alternately as:

The American flag

The Stars and Stripes

Red, White and Blue

Old Glory

The Star-Spangled Banner

the American flag has undergone many revisions.
