"Here comes Peter Cottontail
Hoppin' down the Bunny trail
Hippity hoppity
Easter's on its way."

~ "Here Comes Peter Cottontail," Steve Nelson and Jack Rollins, 1949

Chocolate eggs, chocolate bunnies, marshmallow chicks, and dyed eggs. If any of these are in your real or virtual Easter basket today, Happy Easter with hopes for a renewed Spring! 🐣🐰

This tartan designed by Carol A.L. Martin contains all the colours of spring and a festive Easter basket.

Many people have fond memories of chocolate bunnies, foil wrapped chocolate eggs, and marshmallow treats.

Many cultures have developed traditions around the decorating, exchanging, or games involving eggs.

In Scotland, the north of England, and Northern Ireland, the traditions of rolling decorated eggs down steep hills and The Pace Egg Plays are yearly events.

The Egg Play dramas often takes the form of mock combat between a hero and villain, in which the hero is killed and brought back to life, often by a quack doctor!
